Motorbike Seized in Hothfield! |
Beat Officers were involved in an incident yesterday whereby a motorcycle rider thought it would be funny to make rude gestures to passing patrol cars and then fail to stop once the blue lights and sirens went on. During a pursuit involving this same motorcycle and a second car, the bike ended up getting away after travelling at speed through rural Ashford.
Whilst Beat Officers were out in Hothfield this morning, they sighted the suspected motorbike from yesterday and following the stop search of an individual thought to be involved, the bike was located tucked down the back of an alleyway and was probably moments from being hidden beneath a tarpaulin given him having one in hand!
The bike which has quite clearly been getting ridden whilst notified off-road and without insurance, has since been seized due to its involvement in the fail to stop incident. Much to the dismay of its alleged new owner that knew nothing of its antics only some 24 hours earlier. No ownership documents could be produced and the number plates had kindly been removed, with it being very likely the ‘new’ owner may now struggle to prove sufficient ownership in order to recover the bike.
